HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FRESH CUT TREE

To help your tree stay fresh, full, and beautiful throughout the holiday season, here are a few quick care tips:

1. Give it a fresh cut
Before placing your tree in the stand, trim approximately 1 inch off the bottom of the trunk. This reopens the pores so the tree can take in water properly.

2. Get it into water right away
After the fresh cut, place the tree into water within 30 minutes. A fresh cut seals quickly, so the sooner it’s in water, the better.

3. Keep the stand filled
Trees drink a lot during the first few days! Check the reservoir daily and ensure the base of the trunk is always submerged.

4. Avoid heat sources
Place your tree away from fireplaces, heaters, and direct sunlight. This helps reduce drying and keeps needles fresher longer.

5. Optional: Tree preservatives
You can add a tree preservative to the water (purchases can be made in the store)

6.Pets
Place a pinch of cinnamon and orange peels to deter your pets from the tree
